We're encouraging shops everywhere to add their logo the sticker's bottom right corner and have your local label printer print up a batch for you to give to your customers. Doing so will spark conversations about why it's important to wear full gear all the time, and guide your customers towards the gear that's best suited to them and their riding style. In the end we believe this will lead to more sales of better quality gear. Every time someone sees the sticker on your customers stuff they'll see your logo and it'll spark a conversation about proper gear and hopefuly include a tale of the great help you were. Plus, more people walking away unscathed from accidents means less bad press for the riding community, more discussion about the great gear you sold them, and hopefully more riders overall.
The Gear Up! image on the enclosed sticker is CC licensed so it won't cost you anything to use it on any stickers or promotional pieces you want to make with it. The only catch is that whatever you make with it has to be free. We're encouraging shops like yours to add your logo to the bottom right corner and give them out to all your customers. In doing so you'll hopefully engage them in a discussion of what gear would be best for them.
If you don't have any graphics folks working for you just send us a black and white version of your logo and we'll make you a version of the sticker with your logo that's ready for print. There is no charge for this. We just want to keep fellow riders safe.
Please keep in mind that the Gear Up! image is CC licensed so that it can't be distributed for profit. You're free to add your logo to it and print up as many copies as you'd like so long as you don't charge for them and include the "CC 2009 GearUpProject.org BY-NA-SA" line.
While we believe the best option is for you to offer the stickers to your customers directly so as to start discussions about good gear, we also send out stickers for free via our web site. The stickers we send out could be ones with your logo on them and include your promotional materials and even a coupon for customers to use in your store or on your web site. All we ask is that you cover the cost of printing the stickers we send out with your logo, as well as the envelopes and postage. Obviously we'd need you to send us whatever promotional material you wanted us to include with the stickers.
If you'd like to do it all yourself you can download a high resolution version of the the Gear Up! image (right click on the link and "Save as..."), and add your logo. To keep printing costs down we suggest a black and white version with no halftones on a standard vinly sticker. Just remember you need to leave the "CC 2009 GearUpProject.org BY-NA-SA" line in whatever you print so that others know they can do the same. That's the Creative Commons license for using the image.
